Temporary Accounting Manager

Job Description A great UHY client is seeking an Accounting Manager to support core accounting operations during a critical system transition. This role will play a key part in maintaining day-to-day accounting functions while the company implements a new ERP system, providing hands-on support across journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The Accounting Manager role is a hybrid position based in Ypsilanti, MI, requiring approximately four days per week onsite. This is a contract opportunity expected to last 3-4 months, offering the chance to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Accounting Manager Responsibilities Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with maintaining accurate financial records during ERP system transition Perform detailed account analysis and resolve discrepancies Support general ledger activities and financial reporting processes Assist with fixed asset accounting and tracking (as needed) Collaborate with internal teams to ensure continuity of accounting operations Provide support during system implementation from QuickBooks to SAP Accounting Manager Requirements Strong accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close Advanced Excel skills Ability to work independently and adapt in a project-driven environment Experience supporting ERP implementations or system transitions is a plus Fixed assets experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
