Assistant Teacher - Little Nestlings Early Learning Center We're hiring a temporary Classroom Aide to join our preschool team! We're looking for someone warm, dependable, and ready to jump into a busy, joyful classroom environment from May 26-June 5 while one of our aides is on a short medical leave.Requirements:

Little Nestlings is a nonprofit, Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool located inside Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in West Linn. We believe children learn best through exploration, relationships, and hands-on experiences. Our environment celebrates curiosity, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our nest and support our growing classroom community.Position Overview:
This position is 4 days a week from 8:30-2:30. The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3-5.Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in daily activities, routines, and classroom management Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families Help facilitate child-led, open-ended learning invitations inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach Supervise children indoors and outdoors to ensure safety at all times Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintaining a tidy, organized classroom environment Model positive social-emotional skills and help children navigate peer interactions Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and special events Follow all state licensing rules, school policies, and health/safety guidelinesQualifications:
Experience working with preschool-age children (required) Familiarity with or interest in the Reggio Emilia philosophy (preferred but not required) Ability to support children with empathy, patience, and respect Strong communication and collaboration skills Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment Ability to meet Oregon childcare licensing requirements, including: Criminal background check Current enrollment in the Central Background Registry (or ability to obtain) Required trainings (CPR/First Aid, RRCAN, food handlers, etc.)Compensation & Benefits:
