Position Number 11ASO3701 Position Type Temporary Essential Job Duties We are seeking up to four highly motivated and experienced seasonal technicians to assist with a black bear genetics study. These positions are expected to run from May through August (approximately 16 weeks), with some scheduling flexibility available.

Primary Duties Include:

Extracting DNA from hair samples collected from hair snares in

North Carolina Specific Duties Include:

Extracting DNA from black bear hair samples Keeping all training up to date Maintaining lab equipment in good condition Attending regular lab meetings Organizing and entering data related to extractions Technicians will work closely with the lab supervisor and lab PI at Mississippi State University.

Work Schedule:

Generally 8a-5p M-F; however, hours vary based on research needs- and may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
