12-Hour Day Shifts 12-Hour Overnight Shifts Position Overview We are seeking reliable and alert Temporary Project Gate Security Officer s to support a high-activity petrochemical project site in Freeport, TX. This role is critical to maintaining strict access control and ensuring safety compliance in a fast-paced, industrial environment. This is a highly active, outdoor position requiring strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Access Control Monitor and control all access at the project gate Verify credentials, badges, and TWIC cards for employees, contractors, and visitors Prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with entry requirements Vigilance & Observation Maintain constant situational awareness of the gate and surrounding areas Identify and report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or security risks Act quickly and appropriately in response to incidents Protocol Enforcement Enforce all site-specific safety and security procedures required for a petrochemical environment Ensure all personnel follow PPE and entry compliance rules Documentation Maintain accurate logs of personnel entry and exit Complete daily activity reports and incident reports as required Communication Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, contractors, and management Report issues promptly through proper channels Minimum Qualifications Must have a valid TWIC card in hand (required) Must be able to work 12-hour day or overnight shifts Ability to stand for long periods and remain alert throughout the shift Strong attention to detail and observational skills Reliable transportation to and from Freeport, TX Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Outdoor role - continuous exposure to heat, cold, rain, humidity, and other weather conditions Physically demanding position requiring: Prolonged standing Walking and movement throughout the shift Must maintain focus and performance in a high-traffic, industrial environment Ideal Candidate Highly dependable with strong attendance Comfortable working in industrial or construction environments Demonstrates excellent awareness and quick decision-making Able to enforce rules while maintaining professionalism Experience in access control, gate security, or industrial sites preferred Additional Information Temporary project role lasting approximately 30-60 days Opportunities for extended assignments or future projects may be available based on performance We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity at all levels of our organization.
