Therapeutic Aide Hampton Bays, NY 11946 From $19 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $19 an hour - Part-time, Full-time About Us Long Island Center for Recovery (LICR) is a leading inpatient substance use treatment facility dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals seeking recovery. We foster a professional, supportive environment focused on client safety, dignity, and long-term success. Position Summary The Therapeutic Aide (TA) plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, structure, and daily operations of the facility. TAs are responsible for monitoring clients, ensuring adherence to program schedules, supporting therapeutic activities, and maintaining open communication across all shifts to promote a safe and recovery-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor client adherence to daily program schedules and routines. Receive and communicate shift reports regarding client status and facility updates. Conduct regular facility safety checks, including doors, windows, and general areas. Interact professionally with clients, offering guidance and support as needed. Facilitate evening meetings, recreational activities, and group discussions. Complete detailed shift reports using KIPU and Connecteam . Report concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor or incoming staff. Assist clients in maintaining compliance with treatment plan objectives. Conduct searches of personal belongings during admissions and visitations. Support and enforce facility safety policies and emergency procedures. Provide transportation for clients as needed using company vehicles (valid driver's license required). Maintain awareness of and adherence to the Fire Alarm Procedure , Emergency Preparedness Plan , and Bed Bug Policy . Remain on facility grounds throughout the assigned overnight shift.
