Job Description
Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Western Massachusetts and was recognized by The Boston Globe as one of the Top 10 Employers in Massachusetts. BHN is currently seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to join our youth and family programs in the greater Ware area, supporting children with behavioral health challenges and their families. Employers Pay:
$21.50 - $23 per hour What You'll Do As a Therapeutic Mentor , you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents to help them build life skills, strengthen coping strategies, and achieve success at home, in school, and in the community. Provide structured therapeutic mentoring in community, school, and home settings Reinforce treatment goals through modeling, coaching, and skill-building Collaborate with clinicians, caregivers, and school staff as part of a multidisciplinary team Support youth in achieving individualized goals and positive behavior change Help families navigate behavioral health systems and connect with resources Document services accurately and in a timely manner Participate in treatment planning, supervision, and ongoing professional development Who You Are High School Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree required At least 2 years of experience working with children required; experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred Knowledge of behavioral health, coping skills, and child development Strong mentoring, coaching, and communication skills Familiarity with child- and family-serving systems and community resources Interest in helping others and ability to create strategies that support goal achievement Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle required Comfortable with documentation systems, word processing, and email We Hire for Purpose!
