Therapeutic Mentor

About the Position Coach‑Mentors is seeking a part‑time Therapeutic Mentor (6-8 hrs/week) to work one‑to‑one with a 17 year old trans youth (she/her) on the Autism spectrum with some mental‑health challenges who would benefit from structured support with establishing healthy, daily routines, positive activities, and community/social engagement. To be considered, applicants MUST complete the screening questions included in this posting. About You You are someone who brings skill, maturity, and genuine care to your work as a Therapeutic Mentor. You likely recognize yourself in several of the qualities below: Experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and/or individuals with mental‑health or behavioral‑health needs. Education in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral health, or a related field — or you are completing a degree and have strong, relevant experience. Highly dependable with consistent availability, strong integrity, and a solid work ethic. Clear, collaborative communicator who works well with families and professionals. Energetic, confident, and positive — able to motivate others and model healthy routines. Relationship‑oriented with healthy boundaries and able to build trust while maintaining professionalism. Comfortable holding others accountable and not conflict‑avoidant. Able to pass a national criminal background check . Must be available to start immediately . About Us Coach‑Mentors helps adolescents, young adults, and adults translate therapeutic goals into real‑world success . Our Therapeutic Mentors provide practical, hands‑on support that reinforces the work clients are doing in therapy or following discharge from treatment. As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will offer positive, structured, therapeutically supportive mentoring that helps clients build skills, confidence, and independence. We meet clients in their homes and communities at times that work for them — daytime, evenings, and weekends. Sessions take place in natural, comfortable environments such as the client's home, a coffee shop, a park, or while engaging in a healthy, purposeful activity. Therapeutic Mentors are action‑oriented , helping clients: Implement therapeutic strategies Build daily‑living and executive‑functioning skills Engage in healthy recreation Strengthen social and community connections Work toward academic, vocational, or personal goals Our focus is always on progress, accountability, and meaningful change .
