Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic K-12 Day Treatment Program as a Therapist (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC) and become a vital part of transforming the lives of children and adolescents facing mental health challenges. In this energetic role, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based mental health services within a supportive educational environment. Your expertise will help foster resilience, promote positive behavioral change, and support students' overall well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working collaboratively with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to create a nurturing space for growth and healing. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health status, behavioral patterns, and developmental needs of students. Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing, Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively to ensure student safety. Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with each student's unique needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in case management activities such as coordination of services, progress tracking, and data collection to monitor student outcomes. Facilitate conflict management and behavior management strategies to promote positive classroom behaviors and social interactions. Skills Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques applicable to youth populations. Experience working with children with psychiatric disorders and trauma histories. Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations, patient care assessments, and psychotherapy tailored for school-aged children. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards for confidentiality. Skilled in delivering individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare providers to support student success. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in high-pressure situations. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
