Position Summary The TIG Welder is responsible for fitting, joining, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules. Responsibilities Typical schedule is 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; hours may be adjusted based on production needs Perform welding duties using TIG welding equipment Weld steel components according to layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, and verbal instructions Assist with welding multi-component assemblies Operate forklifts, hoists, grinders, slings, cutting torches, hand tools, and related equipment Inspect and correct welds to ensure quality and product specifications are met Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and job specifications Cross-train and assist in other production-related tasks as needed Communicate with management regarding assignments, quality concerns, and production issues Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment Follow all required safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement efforts This job description is not intended to contain a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities, or activities. Qualifications Candidates should possess:
