We are looking for a positive self-motivated individual that can easily adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment. We are seeking a Precision TIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will work primarily with thin-gauge metals and alloys, fitting and welding complex assemblies based on strict engineering drawings and specifications

Key Responsibilities Precision TIG Welding:

Perform high-quality Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on materials ranging from thin-gauge steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Blueprint Reading & Setup:

Interpret complex engineering drawings, welding symbols, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to plan your weld sequence and minimize distortion.

Fit-up & Fixturing:

Utilize standard fabrication tools (clamps, fixtures, turntables) to pre-fit components accurately prior to welding.

Quality Inspection:

Visually inspect 100% of your welds for undercut, porosity, and proper penetration before submitting to QA.

Material Prep:

Clean, deburr, and prep joint surfaces properly to prevent contamination.

What We Are Looking For Experience:

3+ years of dedicated TIG welding experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Material Mastery:

Strong experience welding thin-gauge materials (e.g., .030" to .125") and managing heat input to control warping.

Certifications:

Ability to pass an

AWS D17.1

(Aerospace) or

AWS D1.6

(Stainless Steel) weld test upon interview. Holding current certs is a huge plus.

The Right Mindset:

A sharp eye for detail, patience, and a refusal to cut corners. You understand that prep work is 80% of a great weld. Physical Requirements Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to maintain a steady hand for extended periods under a welding hood. Good vision (corrected) for inspecting fine micro-welds.
