TIG WELDER

(PRECISION - FABRICATION)

A & D Entrances is a family-owned company that specializes in the manufacturing of elevator cabs, frames & doors. Our 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located in Wyandanch, NY, serving the New York City Metropolitan area. We have been in business since 2007 and growing rapidly, employing over 100 employees. We currently run approximately 200+ projects on a daily basis and our projects range from small residential buildings to large commercial high rise. We have three UL 90 Min Fire Rated Label Certifications, including the only company to acquire a 10-foot label. What sets us apart from all other companies is our in-house engineering staff, with direct access to creativity, our hands-on Project Managers, and our in-depth experience with all facets of fabrication & Installation. The post holder will be joining a growing organization that specializes in the design, production, and installation of high-end elevator cab interiors and entrances. We work with a variety of materials and utilize cutting-edge technology to achieve sophisticated aesthetics with special attention to detail that our customers require.

Job Description:

The position is with a leading architectural Elevator Cab and Entrances company based in Suffolk County. This position will be responsible for welding, assembly, and fabrication of various metals and various sub-assembly components.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of TIG welding. Proficiency in Stainless Steel and Cold Rolled Steel Welding techniques: Knowledge of TIG, and MIG welding, as well as manual and mechanical welding techniques Mathematical skills Physical capabilities Attention to detail Personal skills Technological and tool-handling skills Physical endurance and strength Excellent work ethics Good teamwork and communication skills Ability to read blueprints

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience in welding with one or more of the following materials: Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and Aluminum. Highly proficient in tube(small and large diameter up to 5") cutting grinding and fabrication, with material types, and stainless steel. Experience in Fabrication w/ material types: SS, aluminum. Knowledge in blueprint reading and layout. Proficient in metal cutting as well as cutting. Knowledge and experience in completing welds.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work overtime hours as needed. Must be able to lift a min. of 25 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours. Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and be able to maneuver in tight spaces.

Job Type:

This is a permanent, full-time position. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
