TMA Trained Medication Aide

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Trained Medication Aides (TMAs) to join our team at Greenwood Connections in Menahga, MN. This position is for part time evenings, every other weekend. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and toileting Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff Provide emotional support and companionship to residents Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents Document and maintain accurate records of residents' care Understand, follow, and ensure safety and infection control policies and procedures are being appropriately followed. Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. Assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean up as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. Report resident incidents to the Nurse, Nursing Supervisor or Director of Nursing promptly per protocols based off type and severity. Readily and directly report any verbal or physical abuse of a resident, inappropriate use of resident or facility property or lack of or inappropriate care of a resident to Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, or Director of Nursing. Be able to apply the community's accident, disaster, fire safety, elopement, and emergency procedures for protection of the residents. Understand and adhere to the Vulnerable Adult and abuse policy, Bill of Rights and HIPPA. Comply with rules and regulations set forth by Minnesota Department of Health Requirements Current TMA certification in the state of Minnesota Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Compassionate and patient demeanor About Greenwood Connections Greenwood Connections is a senior living community located in Menahga, MN.
