Company Overview:
Let's Get Moving! is a Senior and Specialty Move Management service in Nashville, TN that assists in the transition of clients from home to senior living or downsizing to a smaller home. The Project Manager will work with our Packers will help clients design an efficient layout of furniture for their new space, engage in sorting, packing and managing the moving process for clients who are later in life and don't want the hassle of managing their own move. Let's Get Moving! was founded in 2005 and has a strong history in the community as a leader in senior move management and is continuing to grow!
Job Overview:
We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to assist clients prepare for their downsizing move. You will be helping seniors prepare for their move to a smaller residence, often an apartment in a senior living community. This position is physically demanding as it involves removing items from cupboards, sorting and packing of items into boxes and/or moving of smaller household belongings to another area of the home ready for the movers. At the new home, everything needs to be unpacked and put away in an organized manner similar to the way it was arranged in the previous home. Requirements for the
Position:
Have a servant's heart and a deep caring for seniors who are in transition Be time sensitive. Always punctual and on time, prompt and flexible to changes. Well-organized, detail-oriented and very patient. Provide emotional support to clients to ensure seamless and hassle-free transition during what is a stressful time and emotional time for them. Requires standing, bending and going up and down stairs. Must be able to stand for 6 hours. High school degree with college preferred Strong customer service focus Enjoys working in a "team environment" Ability to provide own transportation to and from jobs Performs good personal hygiene. Comfortability occasionally working in a range of climate spaces in homes like attics, garages and outbuildings. Comfortability with dust/dirt from furnishings in homes that have not been touched in decades. At times working in residences where smoking has been permitted. Fluent in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Able to work well with technology (Apple and Windows operating systems) Preferences for the
Position:
Enjoys working with the senior population Experience in hospitality/event planning/ customer service or other industries requiring multitasking and detail orientation. Ability to problem-solve Has an eye for decorating/ space design Comfortability working in pet-friendly homes. Pet dander present in some homes. The Move Manager for Seniors position is considered casual part time employment. Rare weekends or evenings may be required for long projects, however, most tasks are accomplished during normal business hours Monday to Friday. Full-time is available after completion of our rigorous training program and exceptional performance and desire for growth! Tipping from our clients is permitted and our clients tend to be generous in their appreciation.
