Toddler Teacher

We are seeking an energetic person who wants to teach children through play. We believe children are born to learn through play, being creative and exploring their surroundings. The lead teacher is responsible for providing an environment that allows children to explore, imagine and discover through play. Play-Based Program Implementation Exploration, creativity, and problem-solving Social-emotional development through peer interaction Hands-on, experiential learning rather than rigid instruction Children have access to meaningful free play Teacher interactions are responsive, not overly directive Activities are developmentally appropriate, not worksheet-driven Protect uninterrupted play time by minimizing unnecessary transitions or disruptions Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a child-centered, inviting, safe and clean environment. Organize and provide a play based, developmentally appropriate early childhood education program. Provide activities and opportunities that encourage imagination, discovery, and exploration. Interact with families, maintain and open & cooperative communication, and encourage involvement in the program. Ensure all children's basic needs are met while at Shooting Star Childcare. Collaborate with other staff, Assistant Director and Director regular basis. Maintain a positive work environment. Complete Health and Human Services requirements on training, background checks, and physical in timely manner after being hired and updated annually. Requirements 18 years old At least six months of experience working in childcare or preschool preferred.
