In this role, you will be responsible for designing developmentally appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional growth, and supporting the overall well-being of toddlers. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay a strong foundation for each child's future learning journey, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and inspired every day. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social skills. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and independence among toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines including meal times, nap schedules, diapering, and play activities with a focus on toddler care and safety. Utilize behavior management techniques to guide positive behavior and address challenges compassionately and effectively. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs. Conduct assessments when appropriate to monitor developmental progress and inform lesson planning. Maintain detailed records of children's development, classroom activities, and incident reports in compliance with childcare regulations. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is required; experience specifically with toddlers is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to early intervention and special education. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies for young learners. Familiarity with classroom management techniques suitable for toddlers to foster positive behavior and engagement. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of health and safety standards related to childcare environments including child welfare protocols.
