Toddler Teacher Assistant (Ages 2-6)

Montessori Children's Center is seeking multiple full time teacher assistants. As part of a long time family business running seven locations in the San Francisco, East Bay Area, the school cares for children from infants 3 months old through 6 years. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of faculty dedicated to the care of children at our Fremont location. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead teachers to implement Montessori-based curricula, foster a positive classroom atmosphere, and support the developmental needs of toddlers. This role is essential in promoting early learning, social skills, and emotional growth among young children. Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Ability to relate to children in a positive, sensitive and constructive manner. Willingness to learn and practice the principles of Montessori philosophy in early childhood education. Willingness to take direction, and exercise initiative where appropriate. Ability to manage groups of children, eliciting their cooperation, without undue authority. Ability to exercise sound judgment in dealing with unusual or emergency situations. Physical stamina, including ability to lift and carry approximately 40 lbs. Ability to relate to parents in a supportive and professional manner. Emotional maturity and an abundance of patience and love. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team setting while supporting individual student needs Duties Maintain a safe, sanitary and developmentally stimulating environment for toddlers. Support and aid the development of each child in toddler care. Share the responsibility of constructive parent relations to facilitate their security and trust in the School. Support in daily preparation and upkeep of the classroom Support diaper-changing/potty training Share the responsibility for the safety and physical well-being of the children at all times. Assist in the supervision of playground and lunchtime.

REQUIRED A

minimum of 12 semester core units in Early Childhood Education, college-accredited classes

SPECIFICALLY
