TOOL DESIGNER

job summary: Our client is seeking a Tool Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity as they introduce new production to their CNC machines. The candidate must have hands-on tool design experience, be a CAD expert (CATIVA V5 or CENIT preferred) , and have proven experience in precision machining and technical operations.

location: Baltimore, Maryland job type: Contract salary: $39 - 44 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities: Utilize CAD to develop, update, and validate trim tools and production fixtures for CNC operations.

Create trim tools and CNC fixtures to get new production lines running.

Update SOPs and setup instructions to keep quality consistent.

Manage tool orders with outside vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

Provide hands-on help across the shop floor to keep operations moving.

Provide technical assistance across various machines and systems to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Must have high-level CAD proficiency, with expertise in Catia V5 or CENIT.Must have proven experience in precision machining and technical operations, with a background in manufacturing or production.
