Location:
Leetsdale, PA Join a leading custom precision manufacturing facility dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation. As a Tool & Die Maker, you will play a critical role in building, repairing, and optimizing custom tooling, dies, fixtures, and precision components that drive heavy industrial clients production. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to showcase your expertise in a stable, family-oriented environment that values quality, attention to detail, and independent problem-solving. What You?ll
Do:
Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain high-precision tooling, dies, fixtures, and specialty components Operate manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, and other conventional machining equipment Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings with precision Perform machining work maintaining tight tolerances on various metals Diagnose and solve tooling issues, supporting seamless production flow Conduct inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools Support preventative maintenance and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Required Skills:
3+ years of Tool & Die Maker or Tool Room experience in a manufacturing setting Proficiency operating manual machining equipment Strong ability to machine parts from detailed prints with minimal supervision Deep understanding of tooling, die repair, and precision machining techniques Experience working with tight tolerances and various metals Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills High attention to detail and craftsmanship Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with progressive or forming die repair Fixture and jig building expertise Surface grinding skills Welding or fabrication background Experience in custom manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience 3+ years in a similar role, with a focus on precision tooling and die work
Journeyman Certification Other Requirements:
Ability to work independently in a well-equipped, organized tool room Commitment to safety and best practices Flexibility to support production needs as required
