Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Trailer Mechanic for a trailer maintenance and repair company in Vandalia, Ohio. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a shop environment.

Responsibilities:

Inspect trailers for mechanical, structural, and safety issues Perform repairs on brakes, lights, tires, suspension systems, and trailer components Complete preventative maintenance and routine service work Use hand and power tools to repair and replace parts Maintain accurate service and inspection records Keep work area clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards

Requirements:

Previous mechanical, automotive, or trailer repair experience preferred Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic Safety-minded with attention to detail
