Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer electrical systems Install and repair lighting systems, including wiring and brackets Replace and wire breakaway kits and junction boxes Install tarp kits, wireless remote systems, vents, E-tracks, and spare tire mounts Replace steel decking, plywood, and install rubber flooring Weld and replace trailer jacks Fabricate and weld components including D-rings, toolboxes, hinges, safety chains, fenders, winch plates, and more Install A-frame toolboxes and couplers Inspect, service, and replace suspension systems Replace air ride valves, air compressors, axles, brakes, drums, magnets, seals, and bearings Perform bearing repacks and axle oil changes Diagnose and repair hydraulic issues Replace hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, and hoses
Qualifications:
2 to 4 years of experience in trailer repair, fabrication, or a related mechanical trade Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication techniques Strong diagnostic skills in electrical and hydraulic systems Working knowledge of suspension, brake, and axle systems Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe shop practices Ability to lift up to 150 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions (standing, kneeling, bending, etc.) Welding certification (preferred but not required) Valid driver's license Forklift operation experience
Work Environment:
Primarily shop-based with occasional outdoor work Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM•12:00 PM (as needed)
Pay:
$18.00•$22.00 per hour
