This role ensures all associates are properly trained on operational processes, equipment, and company policies while maintaining a safe, compliant, effective and efficient work environment. The Training & Safety Supervisor partners closely with Operations leadership to establish standardized procedures, deliver training programs, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the facility. Duties and Responsibilities
- Embody the Cavender's Culture. Champion the Mission, Vision, Values, and Brand in every decision and interaction.
- Build the training foundation. Develop, implement, and continuously improve training programs across every warehouse function for inbound, outbound, inventory, and equipment, so every associate knows exactly what great looks like.
- Write the playbook everyone follows. Create and maintain the SOPs that bring consistency, efficiency, and compliance to every corner of this operation.
- Set people up to succeed. Lead onboarding and ongoing training that gets associates ready fast and keeps them performing at a high level.
- Stay close to the operation. Partner with operations leaders to surface training gaps early, sharpen materials, and make sure what's being taught reflects how the work actually gets done.
- Teach by doing. Show up on the floor. Deliver hands-on training and coaching across functional areas because the best instruction happens where the work happens.
- Make safety the standard, not the exception. Ensure safety programs, policies, and procedures are fully implemented, consistently followed, and genuinely owned by the people doing the work.
- Train for safety like it matters. Lead safety training, audits, and inspections with the rigor that keeps the team compliant, protected, and confident.
- Keep the numbers. Track and report training completion, safety incidents, and compliance metrics with the transparency leadership needs to make good decisions.
- Turn incidents into improvements. When something goes wrong, investigate thoroughly, partner with leadership on corrective actions, and build a prevention strategy that keeps it from happening again.
- Maintain solid records. Maintain training documentation, certifications, and compliance records with the accuracy and discipline this operation depends on.
- Champion the culture of improvement. Build an environment where improvement and accountability are visible on the floor every single day.
- Connect the dots across the organization. Collaborate with HR and operations leadership to align training initiatives, support associate development, continuous improvement and stay ahead of compliance requirements. Qualifications and Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in training, safety, or warehouse/fulfillment operations.
