In partnership with the EFMP Manager, develop an annual EFMP outreach plan. Work includes delivering and coordining training for EFMP staff, Marines and their families and coordining marketing to promote awareness, educion and provide resources for the Exceptional Family Member Program. Links eligible family members and their families, to their assigned EFMP Family Case Worker, with a variety of support services and resources. Seeks out eligible members using an outreach concept and approach th fosters self-reliance and a sense of belonging. Ensures emphasis on positive customer experience for enrolled families and acts as the primary point of contact for resources and referral for Marines and families seeking assistance. Delivers and/or coordines the delivery of training for EFMP staff, Marines, their families, volunteer personnel and representives of installion and community services on a variety of topics reled to individuals with special needs. Develops relionships and partnerships with service providers on the installion and in the community to collabore on providing training and resources to EFMP staff and eligible prons and their families. Works with EFMP Manager and/or Family Case Workers who assist with briefs, events and establishing supportive groups. Conducts personal interviews with unit and installion commanders, family members, and service activities to obtain da to determine priority of needs. May partner with housing, youth services, the educion center and coordinors of program resources to consolide efforts. Develops a robust, consolided portfolio of all local, ste and federal support services th align with the needs of EFMP customers within the installions geographical area of coverage such as, but not limited to: Family Advocacy Program, financial assistance, medical care facilities and services and command resources. Develops the outreach program plan by promoting awareness and educion of EFMP among Marines and leadership on the installion by conducting briefings and educional campaigns. Seeks out opportunities to provide EFMP informion unit functions, briefings, family days, MCCS functions, with Military Trement Facilities and public and DoD schools. Distributes and displays marketing and informional merial in stregic locions aboard the installion to ensure maximum publicity of program resources. Develops and monitors website and social media content, write articles for newspapers and newsletters. Develops and maintains a library of special needs educion, referral and resource merials for families. Serves as a learning management system admin, in partnership with the EFMP Manager, to cree professional development opportunities for EFMP family support staff. Performs administrive functions associed with the training, educion and outreach program plan. Collects, analyzes and maintains training, educion and outreach merials such as: listings of services and resources, informion on the command outreach concept and plan, reports, and surveys. Identifies program resource requirements and provides budget input for manpower, supplies, and equipment. Accesses the EFMP case management system to gher informion and capture all training educion, outreach events and virtual contacts. Handles sensitive informion th is proprietary, privileged, confidential or otherwise legally exempt from disclosure. Safeguards sensitive informion and prevents unauthorized reading, printing, retaining, copying or disseminion of informion, messages, or correspondence in accordance with rules and regulions such as those covered by the Privacy Act, 5 USC 552(a), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Public Law 104-191, and DoD Directive 6025.18. Notifies higher-level supervisor and senders immediely when proprietary informion has been released and advises on how to properly recover, and/or protect informion. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Qualificions Four years of specialized experience (educion in a reled field may be substituted for experience) th demonstres skill to serve as a Training, Educion and Outreach Specialist to develop and maintain the EFMP Outreach Program Plan which includes coordining awareness, educion and resources, and linking eligible exceptional family members and their families with a variety of support services and resources. Skill to conduct needs assessments, interviews, briefs, presentions, training sessions and coordine resources. Demonstred ability to effectively communice, both orally and in writing; ability to develop and deliver quality training; ability to maintain effective communicion and working relionships with all levels of employees, command, and internal and external stakeholders; Proven capability in event planning, development and execution of timelines, and research; Capacity to perform in public speaking engagements; knowledge of military structure and protocol; ability to exercise initiive in resolving problems, rendering decisions, and carrying out revisions to plans; ability to supervise, facilite, run-in person and virtual meetings, and to take charge and direct an event when necessary; ability to analyze da and present logical conclusions and recommendions; proficiency with computer software and applicions involving word processing, publisher, email communicion, dabase management desktop publishing, and internet navigion.
