Job Description
The role of Transport Agent is extremely important within the company and requires a multi-faceted skill set. The Transporter Agent will be responsible for the collection of cannabis samples, driving customer success, customer retention, and increasing profitability through exceptional customer service. The Transporter Agent will report to the Director of Operations. This position is a balance of customer service tasks and hands-on activities. The ability to work across a variety of tasks, often in stressful situations, is an essential attribute for the Field Sampling Technician/Transporter Agent position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability and willingness to provide outstanding customer service during field visits.
- Performance of clerical tasks, including but not limited to; maintenance of spreadsheets, management and organization of customer records, management of shipments, and other duties on an as-needed basis.
- Timely logging of sample orders.
- Compliance with video monitoring of the transportation process.
- Secure transportation of customer samples in company or personal vehicles from sampling sites to delivery at the Steep Hill Oklahoma location.
- Implementation of proper Chain of Custody, Sample Field Logs, Metrc Manifest documentation and protocols for the transport of samples.
- Cooperation with laboratory team and active information sharing across the organization.
- Ability to understand the needs of the customer and provide according to recommendations or briefings based on customer needs.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate company or personal vehicles.
- Ability to respect and maintain client confidentiality.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma, with preference given to candidates in possession of an associate degree in biology or chemistry.
- Ideal candidate in possession of strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build a strong team.
- Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must provide proof of insurance for personal vehicles if necessary.
- Literacy, fluency, and command of the English language. Bilingual candidates are a plus!
- Verifiable field-service experience; prior customer service experience preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a background in biological or chemical sciences.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
- Personal integrity, disciplined work ethic, organization skills, and motivation to work with a sense of urgency.
- Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, with the capacity to follow comprehensive work instructions with precision.
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes and utilize newly emergent technological solutions, particularly mobile tools and applications.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and Google Sheets & Google Docs.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written command) with excellent computer, typing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, ability and willingness to multi-task, and the ability to prioritize and manage assignments.
- Ability to work a flexible shift and the willingness to adapt to modified work schedules.
- The ability to adhere to routes and schedules with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Must be able to meet OMMA requirements to obtain laboratory agent certification.
