Responsible for the technical operation of the EEG Lab including collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests, preparation of the patient, and records EEG in various exams and monitoring physiological response. Transports patients from various hospital departments to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR

LICENSURE

1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

1. One (1) year of patient care experience.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares EEG tracing with patient history, marking montages and writing montages on each channel record. 2. Properly applies EEG electrodes, records sleep and awake EEG's. Detects artifacts and takes appropriate corrective action during EEG recording. 3. Assists with scheduling patients for EEG testing through physician and nursing units. 4. Logs, copies and files all test results. 5. Transports patients to/from Nursing Units and Diagnostic Services Department.
