Starbird Chicken at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is a fast-paced, high-energy restaurant environment focused on delivering fresh food, outstanding hospitality, and exceptional guest service to travelers from around the world. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Shift Supervisor who thrives in a team-oriented culture and demonstrates a passion for leadership, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. The Shift Supervisor serves as a key member of the restaurant leadership team and supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, team performance, guest experience, food safety, and brand standards. This role is responsible for leading by example, fostering a positive work environment, coaching team members, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during all shifts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All Paradies Lagardère positions, including the Shift Supervisor, require embodying a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to guests and team members at all times. Team members are expected to embrace our core values: TRIFIC (Trust, Respect, Integrity, First-Class, Innovation, and Commitment). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced airport dining environment.
  • Supervise and lead hourly team members during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational execution.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, daily deposits, and shift reporting.
  • Maintain an "Every Guest, Every Time" mindset to ensure all guests receive an outstanding dining experience.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members while fostering a positive and inclusive TEAM culture.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new hires on company standards, food safety, guest service, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure all team members maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all menu items, recipes, procedures, and restaurant systems.
  • Monitor food quality, cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout all areas of the restaurant.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and SFO/TSA airport regulations.
  • Maintain accurate daily records including shift notes, labor documentation, cash accountability, and incident reporting.
  • Support inventory management, product ordering, and proper product rotation procedures.
  • Respond professionally and effectively to guest concerns and team member issues.
  • Partner with the General Manager to drive sales, productivity, labor management, and overall restaurant performance.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following all safety standards and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining employee morale and engagement through positive leadership and communication.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Participate in ongoing company training programs and support continued employee development.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in fast-casual, quick-service, or high-volume restaurant environments preferred.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills required.
  • Experience with cash handling, scheduling, and shift management preferred.
  • Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced airport environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including high-volume service periods, noise, and kitchen heat exposure.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and lead by example.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to company grooming and uniform standards required.
