AIRPORT MANAGER / FIXED BASE OPERATOR OPPORTUNITY

RDK) The City of Red Oak, Iowa is accepting applications for a full-time Airport Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, and administration of the Red Oak Municipal Airport. In addition to traditional employment applications, the City will also consider proposals from individuals or entities interested in operating as a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) while fulfilling the duties of Airport Manager.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Airport operations and maintenance; fuel system management and fuel sales; snow removal and mowing; hangar and facility maintenance; runway lighting systems; coordination with the Airport Commission and City Administration; and general oversight of airport activities and property.

Two Different Opportunities Available:

Full-Time Airport Manager (Employee): Hourly, non-exempt position with overtime eligibility. Compensation and benefits provided per City policy. Fixed Base Operator (FBO)

Option:

Opportunity to operate a private aviation-related business (such as maintenance or avionics services) at the airport while performing Airport Manager duties. Requires submission of a business plan and is subject to approval by the City and Airport Commission, including lease and operating agreements.

EOE Pay:

$49,264.80 - $60,000.00 per year
