Job DescriptionGeneral ResponsibilityThe Senior Site Installation Supervisor is a self-managing, high energy individual who is responsible for all mechanical and general installation activities off/on-site for BEUMER system projects as assigned. This is an important role providing key support for the project management team and will have on-going, direct contact with the customer. The Senior Site Installation Supervisor coordinates the activities of the site supervisors as well as the workers engaged in the installation, or modification of supplied equipment while ensuring that the highest quality of work is provided in the safest manner possible in order to meet project goals.

At times the Senior Site Installation Supervisor role could be the lead on a site or part of a team with another lead. This includes conveyors, integrated systems as well as an third part or customer equipment on site.

Leadership and TeamworkFollow and live the BEUMER leadership Principles. Ensure the BEUMER Group processes are followed.

Promote safe and reliable construction and maintenance activities consistent with BEUMER objectives and policies, be in full compliance with existing and relevant emerging codes and regulations.

Mentor, train, teach and grow the Site Installation Supervisors and subcontractors for the complete logitistics system installation of internal and external equipmentSupport projects as Lead Site Installation Supervisor as requiredAct as main technical advisor for direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of installation to prevent delays Maintain a relationship to all subsidiaries,and departments on a regular basis.

Prepare the Site installation project plan containing objectives, organization, planning and with Project manager. Assign tasks to workers and specify method of coordinating workflow to meet schedulesSupervising teams over multiple parallel projects, including remote support as neededParticipate in kick off meetings and or job close out meetings and ensure SIS particpationPrepare and maintain job box with required tools and hardware for shipment to and from the job siteInitiates improvements of the Site installation site management process together with the Site Integration Manager.

Coordinate all activities with internal partners, the Customer, all BEUMER and Customer subcontractors while keeping project manager and team updatedAssists in qualification and selection of installation subcontractorsPrepare installation RFQ's for BEUMER and all logistics projectsSupport the team leader or department manager with management tasks and when necessary act in in the absence of department manager80-90% domestic and/or international travelPerform other related duties as assignedTechnical and QualityEnsure review all Site drawings, i.e. shop, architectural, structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times including redlines turn over at completionEnsure and demonstrate high standards of safety, security and environmental compliance are consistent followed at assigned work locations.

Ensure SIS improve and follow the assigned project scope and contract work authorization details. Interface with others on the project to learn how job commitments are delivered on time and within budget.

Ensure SIS are performing quality checks on installation and processes on assigned and unassigned sitesEnsure and promote safe and reliable construction and maintenance activities consistent with BEUMER objectives and policies, be in full compliance with existing and relevant emerging codes and regulations.

Ensure SIS team supervises site contractors, supervisors and departments to review drawings, RFQ's, and quality control checklists and ensure work is completed and accurate including NCC's.

Ensure SIS adhere to daily operating procedures.

Ensure proper any structural work or welding is done as per local requirementsEnsure and promote claims and change management processes and report all changes/deviations to change managementAccurately direct and or execute complex multi-level layouts of equipment using supplied drawingsEnsure that all materials used, and work performed, are per specificationsPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsRequirements / Skills / Abilities10+ years of Electro/mechanical experienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to Interpret Installation Drawings both mechanical and SiteMaintain train the trainer certifications for fork lift, scissor lift and boom liftAdvanced Welding SkillsAbility to perform complex layouts of equipmentCommon knowledge of structural steel supportsHeavy lifting/rigging and material handling skillsWorking knowledge of electro mechanical controls wiring and systemsTravel up to 80% to 90% of the time - Domestic & InternationalAbility to plan, organize and prioritize in an environment with competing prioritiesProven ability to motivate others and be a positive, productive and effective leaderExcellent verbal and written communication SkillsProfessional, positive and energetic demeanorDecision making abilityAbility to maintain a high degree of initiative, discretion & confidentialityExcellent time management abilityExcellent Customer Service skillsComputer literacy; including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPointAbility to obtain required Airport security clearancesRequired Certifications / LicensesOSHA 30 Trainer QualificationsFirst Aid Trainer QualificationEquipment Trainer QualificationValid passport in the event international travel is requiredValid Driver's License Additional InformationBEUMER is an innovative company, where every employee is part of the "family".
