Responsible for conducting inspections of airport movement areas, including runways, taxiways, lighting systems, and navigational aids (NAVAIDs), to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain safe airport operations. Maintains required inspection logs, reports, and operational records while enforcing airport safety procedures and emergency response plans, including hurricane preparedness, storm water management, spill prevention, and pavement management programs. Responds to airport emergencies, incidents, and operational issues involving aircraft, assisting with investigations and coordinating with appropriate authorities as needed. Also provides customer service and public assistance by communicating with tenants, visitors, and the general public regarding airport operations, rules, and regulations. Candidates must pass background check. Convictions will be reviewed on a case by case basis; convictions will not necessarily bar a candidate's employment.
