Job Description

This position requires all the certifications required as an Airport Line Technician II and Senior Airport Line Technician. Additionally, this position requires the training of all certified personnel, the recordkeeping of all personnel training records, and recordkeeping and compliance with all FAA Safety Inspections. Also, this position requires a supervisory fuel handling certification. This is a supervisory position that provides general supervision over Airport Line Technician I,II and Senior Airport Line Technician's. This position receives general supervision from the Airport Operations Director.

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Marshal, park, greet, tow, wing-walk, fuel and provide various services including lavatory and water services to general aviation aircraft. Maintainandexhibitastrongknowledgeofpropersafetyproceduresandsituational awareness. Clearly communicatesoralandwrittendirections;planandcompleteassigneddutiesandtraininginan allotted amount of time as well as maintain good working relationships with the team. Frequent use of a two-way radio to communicate effectively. Perform required fuel truck safety inspections. Ensure vehicles are in safe operating order and running properly. Perform routine equipment safety inspections. Ensures all equipment is in safe and proper working order. Escortvariousprivateandcompanypersonnelunfamiliarwiththeairportgroundsas requested to ensure safety compliance. Supervise daily fuel farm inspections including performing pre-loading and quality control inspections. Review updated operations manuals for various aircraft as needed. Adhere to all procedures for safety and security. Must be physically present to work as member of the team to serve customers, visitors and staff who may need unscheduled assistance. Flexibility with work schedules is required as well as the ability to work in ever changing weather conditions. Assistwithavarietyofgeneraldutiesincludingreplacinglightbulbsinairportfacilities. Operate a variety of basic hand and power tools. Providelawnandgroundsmaintenance,mow,fertilize,maintain,andtrimshrubsandtrees;assist with draining and winterizing of sprinkler systems. Supervises snow removal operations in compliance with the ACM Snow and Ice Control Plan Ensuresmaintenancechecksofallpowerequipmenttoincludefilters,fuel,lubrication,andtraction; follow an assigned preventive maintenance schedule. Ensures adherence to safe work practices and procedures. Supervise, attendandparticipateinstaffmeetings,safetymeetings,andrelatedactivities,attendworkshops, conferences, and classes to increase knowledge, and serve on committees as assigned. Participate in initial and ongoing training as required by the FAA and TSA. Prepare for certifications required by the FAA and TSA. Supervises and conducts required inspections of airport aprons for unsafe conditions; reports hazardous or substantial maintenance/construction problems. Removes foreign object debris. Supervises and plans preventivemaintenanceschedulesforallairportfacilities,equipment, systems, and vehicles. Select, train, motivate and evaluate assigned personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work withemployeestocorrectdeficiencies.

Assigntasks,andprojectsandmonitorassignedpersonnel. Supervise requisitionsupplies,equipment,andmaterial;maintaininventorycontrolandreview system. Supervise and develop,recommend,andimplementprocedurestoassurethatFederal,State,andlocalbuilding safety regulations are adhered to in the use and operation of airport facilities; coordinate with OSHA, DEQ, and EPA on formal inspections of the facility. Assist in budgeting by providing budgetary figures for the department's projects. Assure departmental budget line items are maintained within budgetary limits. Supervises and implements a certificated "On the Job" training curriculum. Performs related duties as required.
RequiredEducationandExperience:
Associate's degree Three(3)tofive(5)yearsofexperienceinairportFBO operations, at least 1 year of experience must have been at the supervisory level. Must possess DEQAboveGroundStorageTank(AST)license. Must Possess Supervisory Fuel Handling Certificate. Anyequivalentcombinationoftraining,education,andexperiencethatprovidestherequiredskills, knowledge, and abilities.
RequiredLicensesorCertifications:
ClassCdriver's license. Must have basic knowledge of aircraft engines and fuel types.

Must have excellent customer service knowledge and excellent people skills.

Must have a full working knowledge of F.A.A. safety and fire regulations within 90 days of employment.

Must be able to complete the established Line Technician Training Program provided by a fueling company within thirtydays of employment.
Knowledge of:

Operating modern office equipment. Operate two-way radio equipment. Interpersonal communication necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships. Performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature Performing basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios Communication, both oral and written Leadership Ability to: Meet schedules and deadlines of the work. Recommend and implement goals, objectives, and practices for providing effective and efficient building maintenance and activities. Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals. Prepare, develop, and recommend plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Interpret and apply Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Communicate and supervise effectively. Work in extremes of environmental conditions. Correctly identify a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and special systems problems. Exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing situations and needs. Work extensive overtime hours regularly. Read and understand special systems technical programming manuals. Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Follow verbal and written instructions. Work effectively in the absence of direct supervision. Travel to different sites; availability for an emergency call or on-call duty. Essential functions require maintaining the physical condition necessary for significant physical activity such as standing, walking, running, kneeling, crouching/stooping/squatting, crawling, twisting the upper body, climbing, and lifting an average of 60 lbs.
