About the Role As an Aviation Quality Assurance Lead, you will serve as the primary authority for ensuring our repair station maintains the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. You will oversee critical inspection processes, manage technical documentation, and drive quality system improvements to ensure all aviation components meet rigorous FAA standards. Responsibilities Direct inspection activities to guarantee all maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations align with CFRs and airworthiness directives. Manage the integrity of technical data, ensuring all manuals and service bulletins are current and accessible for the team. Validate that all maintenance records and documentation are precise and fully compliant prior to final return-to-service authorization. Lead internal audits and quality system reviews to identify process improvements and maintain regulatory readiness. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and equipment to ensure operational accuracy. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and manage reporting requirements for malfunctions or defects. Maintain a robust training program to ensure all personnel remain proficient in inspection techniques and safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Deep expertise in 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and aviation airworthiness requirements. Proven experience in quality inspection, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance programs. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex FAA-approved technical data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP software systems. Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in an aviation quality role. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations. Preferred Skills Active Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate. Prior leadership experience within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station. Familiarity with Part 121, 125, 129, and 135 operational requirements. Demonstrated success in root cause analysis and quality process optimization.
