Aviion safety educion is an integral part of meeting the FAA's stutory obligion to promote aviion safety. The FAA provides aviion educion and guidance to all segments of the aviion community. Aviion educion targets the General Aviion (GA) community and serves an important human factors role in the FAA relionship with the flying public. Manages policies, standards, programs, and procedures for aviion and commercial operions. Establishes collaborive relionships with external aviion organizions to address safety issues and seeks innovive mitigion stregies of such issues. Analyzes safety issues and seeks a wide range of regulory and nonregulory responses to ensure rapid adoption of remedies to aviion safety concerns. Responsible and accountable for representing the FAA in coordining system safety programs such as safety assurance, safety promotion, and risk management activities within the aviion environment. Interfaces include certificed airmen, air carriers, air agencies, air operors, general aviion organizions, designees, the general public and airport organizions. Participes with industry, internal and external work groups, and teams to address specific safety concerns and aviion issues. Develops guidance and associed products to implement policies addressing safety and reled aviion requirements. Manages aviion safety procedures, local initiives, and supports nional products. Provides technical assistance to other nional and internional aviion safety organizions and maintains close liaison with those external nional and internional aviion organizions, certificed airmen, aircarriers, air agencies, air operors, general aviion organizions, designees and airport organizions, to identify and resolve potential safety problems and establish safety programs. Supports the nional FAASTeam Policy Division(s) in FAA-wide and community aviion educion programs. Responsible for the promotion and educion of regulory compliance in safety reled areas. Manages aviion safety procedures, local initiives, and supports nional products.
