Based at our North Carolina facility, this role will perform inspections of incoming, in-process, and outgoing aviation materials, verify compliance with
FAA /EASA /CAAC
regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards, and maintain complete traceability documentation for all inspected parts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aviation materials inspection, aircraft disassembly processes, and a deep understanding of FAA airworthiness requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform comprehensive visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of aviation components during aircraft disassembly, inventory receipt, and pre-shipment for trading
- Verify compliance of all materials with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards
- Maintain complete and accurate inspection documentation, traceability records, and non-conformance reports for all parts
- Identify, segregate, and resolve quality issues with non-conforming materials, initiating corrective actions as needed
- Conduct pre-disassembly component assessments, validating part condition and eligibility for recertification, repair, or scrap
- Perform receiving inspections for incoming supplier materials, verifying part numbers, serial numbers, and certification documentation
- Calibrate, maintain, and properly use all inspection tools and equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to support continuous improvement of inspection processes
- Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements
- NO LESS than 5 years of hands-on aviation materials inspection experience in the aircraft disassembly, MRO, or aviation parts trading industry
- In-depth knowledge of
FAA/EASA/CAAC
airworthiness regulations and documentation requirements for commercial aviation components
- Proficiency in using precision inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and NDT equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturer specifications, and service bulletins
- Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to create clear and accurate inspection reports
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and obtain required facility security credentials
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within North Carolina as needed Preferred Requirements
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or other relevant aviation inspection certification
- Direct experience with commercial aircraft disassembly and end-of-life aviation asset management
- Knowledge of aviation parts trading, export/import regulations, and airworthiness certification processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and inventory management ERP systems
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
