Job Description
Job Description The Technical Lead / Lead Inspector runs day-to-day execution oversight for the Aerospace Inspector team at Pratt & Whitney's AOIC in Oklahoma City. This role ensures evaluations are executed per AOIC Standard Work, enforces complexity/time-bump controls and stop/approval discipline, and maintains QCPC and documentation integrity. The Technical Lead is the hands-on technical authority for the team — coaching inspectors, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring every evaluation output meets P&W's audit-ready expectations. Provide day-to-day technical oversight and direction to Aerospace Inspectors executing evaluations under AOIC Standard Work Enforce complexity/time-bump controls: ensure time-bump requests are submitted before half-time is spent; enforce stop/approval when overruns exceed thresholds Maintain QCPC documentation integrity and ensure rework records are complete, traceable, and accessible Conduct quality reviews of evaluation outputs (dimensional inspections, structured-light/CMM measurement capture, distress identification) before submission Support the Priority-to-Throughput Execution Framework by translating priority assignments into inspector-level daily execution plans Maintain part tracking and flow discipline artifacts (part lists, batch classification, routing/WIP status, aging visibility) Identify and escalate technical issues, repeated rework patterns, or systemic quality concerns Support onboarding and training of new inspectors to AOIC Standard Work and local expectations

Compensation:
Up to $50.00/hr up based on experience. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role include available request. Skills and Requirements 7+ years of aerospace inspection/evaluation experience, including dimensional inspection and technical evaluation of hardware components Experience with calibrated measurement systems including structured-light scanning and/or CMMs Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience overseeing inspection teams Strong understanding of quality documentation systems (QCPC or similar) Experience with distress identification, defect characterization, and evaluation documentation in an aerospace/defense environment Ability to enforce governance controls and maintain audit-ready documentation standards Experience with Pratt & Whitney AOIC workflows or similar military engine hardware evaluation programs Familiarity withF119/F135
