REQUIRED
Possession of a valid California Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a "P" and "S" endorsement and School Bus Certificate. Must provide evidence of insurability-current H-6 DMV report. Must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, Drug Testing Clearance, and TB Test. Must have a current medical certificate and a valid First Aid certificate. Must possess a valid California Department of Ed. School Bus Driver Instructor Card. Requirements / Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent Experience:
Five years experience in the driving of school buses; two years experience in overseeing bus drivers or in assisting in such responsibilities. Knowledge of:
Principles and practices for the safe driving of school buses; knowledge of the services needed to keep school buses in operating condition; knowledge of the roads of Yolo County; good personnel practices. Ability To:
Ability to plan, organize, oversee, and coordinate the work of other bus drivers; ability to prepare and present oral and written reports; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with bus drivers, the supervisor, school administrators and others contacted on the job; ability to coordinate and schedule field trips requests utilizing computerized trip management software. Ability to arrange for the training of and train of bus drivers in safe driving practices; ability to prepare concise reports on pupil transportation program as required; ability to operate a school bus exercising good judgment and extreme caution; maintain order among students on a school bus; learn a designated bus route, bus stops, and district traffic hazards; follow written and oral directions; maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. The interview committee shall also consider each applicant's ability to direct work of subordinates including, but not limited to, interpersonal skills in the work setting. Employment appointments are contingent upon final approval by the Board of Trustees pursuant to District policy and applicable law.
