The Nevada County Transit division is looking for a safety conscious individual who is excited to provide vital transportation services to our county residents! We are looking for drivers with a positive outlook and the following knowledge and skills.

Recruitment incentives of up to $5K paid over a 1-year period (either new or lateral hires). Education and Experience RequiredCompletion of twelfth grade or receipt of G.E.D. Minimum of six months of driving experience in one or more of the following: public transit, a school district transit operation, or driving a commercial vehicle. Possession of the following documents at time of application. Passenger Endorsement Certificate permitting the licensee to operate public transit vehicles equipped with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 26,001 pounds or more. California Class A or B Vehicle Operator's LicenseDepartment of Motor Vehicles Medical Certificate/DL-51Vehicle Transit Training (VTT) Certificate required within three months of hire Passenger transit driving experience preferred Possession of current and valid Certification for Operation of a School Bus is highly desirable Possession of current and valid Certification for the operation of airbrakes is beneficial, but not required.
