The school district consists of Los Angeles and all or portions of several adjoining Southern California cities. LAUSD educates and empowers all students as future leaders. Job Summary Job Summary A Light Bus Driver operates a "conventional" school bus of up to 28,000 pounds gross vehicle weight.
The Typical Duties include:
  • Operating a school bus in transporting students to and from school and other locations as scheduled.
  • Maintaining proper student behavior and safe riding practices on the bus.
  • Checking fuel and oil levels and tires of the bus and has the bus serviced when necessary.
  • Validating accuracy and submitting daily transportation reports and logs.
