Our bus system provides transportation throughout our community and to nearby shopping centers, restaurants, and medical facilities on scheduled routes and timetables. Record daily count of passengers. Verify residency of passengers. Assist passengers with packages, walkers and wheelchairs. Assist passengers by providing bus route information. Operate the bus in a safe manner and in compliance with GRF and State traffic regulations. Report emergencies or accidents to Dispatcher in the Security Department immediately. Check bus for fuel, water, and any apparent defect. Other things you need to know or do: Use a 2-way radio and hand counter. Frequently reach, climb, balance and stoop. Lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Pass "Bus Driver Physical Examination" prior to start of employment and annually thereafter. Respond to emergencies efficiently and to make immediate decisions.
