Job Description
School Bus Drivers - Part Time Carrollwood Day School is hiring responsible and reliable School Bus Drivers for regular morning and afternoon routes, field trips, sporting events, and other extracurricular activities. Flexible scheduling may include mornings, afternoons, evenings and/or weekends. No grease days.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate full size school bus safely and in compliance with all laws, traffic regulations, and school policies Perform pre and post trip inspections efficiently and thoroughly Work with minimal supervision Submit reports timely, report malfunctions immediately Be respectful, professional, and courteous at all times Be comfortable working with the public and with students, and be comfortable representing the school positively Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow employees Meet regular and timely attendance requirements, including occasional meetings, trainings, and other required events Adhere to School policies as described in the Employee Handbook and other materialsQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required Mechanical, maintenance and computer skills preferred Must possess and present a positive attitude and professional appearance Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. Must posses current valid DOT Medical Certification Card Familiarity with Florida school bus traffic laws and Florida CDL Manual Ability to effectively communicate in English, ability to read and interpret maps, schedules, directions, and procedures Ability, willingness, and judgment to interact and communicate courteously and effectively with all constituents in a school environment is critical Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in stressful situations (traffic, weather, etc.) Must be able to successfully pass a Level II fingerprint criminal history check, national background check, DMV records check, and a drug testJob Type:
