School Bus Driver

POSITION DETAILS

5 hours per day; 2.5 hours morning and 2.5 hours afternoon Monday-Friday The bus driver must provide safe and reliable transportation for the students of the Monroe County Community School Corporation and any other passengers on their bus. Drivers will be required to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus daily; must observe all laws, safety regulations and pertinent school board policies for bus drivers and school buses.

QUALIFICATIONS

21 years of age (per

IC 20-27-8-1

); proper licensing preferred; training provided; enjoy working with children and young adults; must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. regularly to aid in the loading and unloading of students or during an emergency evacuation DOT/CDL Physical and a Physical Fitness Certificate completed by a Certified Medical Examiner. The required physical forms must be obtained from the MCCSC Transportation Department (non-MCCSC forms will not be accepted). MCCSC is able to reimburse employees for up to $75.00 of the cost of the physical with an itemized receipt and any other required documentation. Corporation Bus Driver Valid Indiana CDL (Class B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement) Driver Trainee Must provide proof of successfully passing BMV required tests to obtain a CDL permit.
