Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Bus Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of passengers, including students, seniors, or community members, depending on your specific assignment. Your expertise will help foster a positive travel experience while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and operational procedures. This position offers an engaging opportunity to serve your community and make a meaningful impact through reliable transportation services. Responsibilities Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies Transport passengers such as students, seniors, or individuals with special needs along designated routes Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, mechanical functionality, and cleanliness before each shift Communicate clearly with passengers, providing information about routes, stops, and safety procedures Manage behavior and ensure passenger safety through effective behavior management techniques Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with childcare needs or mobility challenges Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and incident reports as required by regulatory agencies Skills Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles with a valid driver's license suitable for operating large vehicles Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Knowledge of driving safety protocols and mechanical basics to perform routine vehicle checks Ability to work well with children Requirements Must have a current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with PS Endorsements and be able to provide a current DOT Physical and pass a DOT Drug Screening. Applicants will have completed the online Moodle pre-service class with a valid yellow card to drive a school bus.
Applicants must provide a current Motor Vehicle Record with no existing violations.
