The West Genesee Central School District (CSD) is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our Transportation Team as School Bus Drivers .
Starting Pay Rate:
$31.65 per hour (
Substitute Rate:
$30.65 per hour)
Hours:
Split shifts, typically morning and afternoon routes (hours may vary based on route assignments) Key Responsibilities The School Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and school-related activities. Operate a school bus safely and professionally in all types of weather conditions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety (e.g., checking tires, brakes, lights, and emergency equipment). Maintain order and discipline among student passengers according to West Genesee CSD policies. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and school district regulations. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and the Transportation Department. Complete necessary paperwork, including route sheets and incident reports. Attend all required safety meetings and training sessions. Job Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess or be able to obtain a New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements . Successful completion of a physical examination, drug screening, and background check. Clean driving record. A strong commitment to student safety and customer service.
