Job Description

Job Title:
Line Run Bus Driver Job Summary:
The Line Run Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating a bus on an assigned fixed route (line run), transporting passengers according to a published schedule. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong customer service, and strict adherence to safety and traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a bus safely and efficiently along designated routes and schedules Pick up and drop off passengers at established stops Assist passengers with boarding, including seniors and individuals with disabilities Collect fares or verify passes as required Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Report mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior Provide courteous customer service and respond to passenger inquiries Communicate with dispatch regarding route conditions or emergencies
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B) with passenger endorsement Applicants must be at least 23 yrs old Clean driving record (2pts or less) Ability to pass background check, drug and alcohol testing Knowledge of local routes and traffic laws Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to sit for extended periods and assist passengers as needed
Work Environment & Schedule:
Fixed routes with scheduled stops May include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Exposure to varying weather and traffic conditions
