Spring 2026 Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Valid Driver's License with a clean Driving Record Bus Driving Experience, preferred Licensing & Training Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required Endorsements Successful passing of CDL Road Test prior to hiring Completion of Michigan School Bus Driver Education Course Meet & Maintain Requirements of Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Background & Testing Positive Employment Record Positive Comprehensive Background Check Compliance with Federal DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Requirements Essential Skills Establish and Maintain Positive Working Relations with fellow Employees, Supervisors, Administrators, Parents, & Students Strong Communication Skills Positive Interpersonal Skills Ability to Follow Instructions Safety Awareness Ability to perform the Physical Tasks required of this Position Demonstrate ability to successfully perform other duties and responsibilities This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
