SEMCAC Transportation | Southeastern Minnesota Full‑Time | Non‑Exempt SEMCAC is hiring two (2) Bus Drivers to join our Transportation team. This position plays a vital role in safely transporting passengers while providing excellent customer service to individuals and families in our communities. Position Summary Bus Drivers (Bus Operators) are responsible for the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of passengers of all ages. Drivers must follow all federal, state, local, and agency safety regulations while maintaining a positive and respectful environment on the vehicle. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate agency‑assigned buses while adhering to DOT, state, and agency regulations Provide professional, courteous customer service to passengers Assist passengers with boarding, unloading, wheelchair lifts, and safety restraints Conduct required pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and equipment Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatch, and supervisors Follow all safety, health, and emergency procedures Complete required documentation, and reports. Attend required trainings to maintain compliance and certifications
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED Ability to pass DOT physical and pre‑employment drug screening Strong commitment to safety and customer service Reliable, dependable, and able to work a flexible schedule
Licensing & Certifications:
CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire CPR and First Aid certification (may be obtained after hire) Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and assist passengers as needed
Pay:
$21.08 - $23.45 per hour
