Responsible for safely operating the school bus according to a set daily schedule. Ensure that the school bus is in good operating condition at all times. Pick up and drop off students, maintain order and security on the bus and obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct. Provide customer service to the public in a courteous and respectful manner including receiving complaints about schedules and levels and quality of service. Operate a school bus safely and follow applicable laws Maintenance of vehicle for safety and cleanliness Maintenance of accurate records for safety and efficiency

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma and/or equivalent; and/or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above described duties. Maintain CDL Class B License with endorsements required to operate a school bus; passenger, and air brake; complete required training and annual evaluation for School Bus Driver Compliance. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to for insurability by the District's insurance carrier Meet statutory motor vehicle check Ability to pass a state or DOT medical examination Ability to pass a federally mandated drug/alcohol screen. Successfully complete school bus driver training programs and courses established by the state or school district. First Aid Certification and CPR Certification and/or the ability to obtain. Bus Driver Detailed Job Description 2024-2026 Bus Driver and Bus Assistant Master Agreement •Salary range based on the 2025-26 schedule• This position will stay open until filled.
