Full Job Description Job Summary:
Bus Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the City's 15-passenger wheelchair equipped mini‐bus., scheduling and transportation of resident senior citizen's and persons with disabilities to activities and destinations. Driver also prepares reports and performs other duties as required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Drives mini‐bus. 2. Assists passengers who require wheelchair lift on and off vehicles. 4. Operates telephone for scheduling. 5. Performs basic inspection of vehicle i.e. checking oil and fluids, vacuuming and washing. 6. Organizes ride schedule to keep accurate pick up times. 7. Reports all vehicle service needs to supervisor as needed. 8. Refuels as needed. 9. Keeps accurate daily records of scheduled rides. 10. Deals efficiently and courteously with staff and public. 11. Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES 1.
Ability to read maps or locate destinations with personal equipment. 2. Skill in the operation of a 15-passenger mini‐bus. 3. Ability to operate a phone to coordinate scheduling. 4. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 5. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, city officials and the public.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1.
Graduation from a general or technical high school or GED certificate 2. A valid Class 'B' Commercial Driver License (or higher) 3. Previous commercial driving experience 4. Applicant must be insurable with the city's insurance carrier.
