In this energetic role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and courteous transport of passengers, including students, seniors, or community members. Your enthusiasm and commitment to safety will help create a positive travel experience for all riders. Whether driving school buses, paratransit vehicles, or senior care transportation, you will play a key role in connecting people to their destinations with professionalism and care. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of buses, including school buses, paratransit vehicles, and community transport vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with passengers and addressing their needs with patience and professionalism Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness before each journey Manage behavior and maintain order among passengers, especially when working with children or vulnerable populations Follow designated routes and schedules accurately while adjusting for traffic or unforeseen delays Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with mobility challenges or special needs Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; class E driver's license (chauffeur's) required. Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles; familiarity with school bus driving or paratransit services is highly desirable Strong communication skills Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Experience working with childrenr; understanding of childcare Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage behavior effectively and maintain a positive environment onboard Ability to follow detailed routes and schedules accurately while demonstrating attentiveness and safety consciousness Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference every day!
