Special School District (SSD) bus drivers support students throughout St. Louis County by ensuring they are safely transported to school daily. Your commitment to creating a welcoming climate on your bus where students feel valued and cared for will positively impact their educational experience. By also managing student behavior with the support of your monitor and following all safety regulations, you will help us realize our mission of supporting and empowering students to excel to their greatest potential. Bus driver substitutes work up to 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, on an as-needed basis. Salary $20.99 to $27.64/hr. based on experience Education and Experience Education, transportation experience preferred Experience working with children preferred Must be 21 or older at time of hire Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Currently hold or qualify for a Class B Commercial Driver's License, a School Bus Driver's endorsement, and a passenger endorsement (may obtain through District-provided training) required Must hold a current driver's license with an excellent driving record Calendar 10-month school year (August to June), exact dates dependent on assigned location(s)
