•06/08/26 GoTriangle is the regional public transportation provider serving North Carolina's Triangle Region and surrounding counties. We provide a wide range of services, including fixed route, paratransit, and vanpool operations in areas such as Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, RDU International Airport, RTP, and Raleigh. We currently have multiple openings for Transit Operators in the GoTriangle region. Transit Operators are responsible for safely and reliably transporting passengers along designated routes according to a set schedule. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, patience, and helpfulness to all passengers. •

Key Responsibilities:

•Adhere to all safety and traffic regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Accurately complete all required paperwork, including manifests, pre/post-inspection checks, accident reports, and other necessary forms. Use sound judgment to follow dispatch instructions and efficiently manage the pickup and drop-off of passengers. Attend training classes and successfully complete all required training. Respond politely and accurately to passenger inquiries regarding service areas, eligibility requirements, and fare information. Ensure that passengers have a comfortable and safe ride. Provide assistance to individuals as needed. Understand and comply with all federal transit requirements. Stay informed about the operation of all service routes. Fuel and clean the vehicle as required. •

Qualifications:

•Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B with a passenger endorsement and maintain a DOT medical card. A good driving record over the past six years is required. Must be able to drive in all types of adverse weather conditions. Due to the nature of our service, operators are expected to report to work during adverse weather and may work split shifts. Prior experience driving a bus or heavy vehicle is preferred. All successful candidates must pass a drug screening and a criminal background check. For candidates with transit experience or a Motor Coach background, starting pay will be above $20.64, depending on years of experience.
