Dog Daycare Attendant & Bark Bus Driver Woof & Hoof - Dutchess County, NY Job Overview Join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant & Bark Bus Driver, where your passion for animals and dedication to exceptional pet care can truly shine. Woof & Hoof is a small, professional pet care company offering farm-style dog daycare, dog walking, pet sitting, and farm care services. In this hands-on role, you'll be a key part of our daycare operations creating a safe, structured, and enriching environment for our daycare dogs. As a Bark Bus Driver, you'll also be responsible for safely transporting dogs to and from daycare using company vehicles, ensuring a calm and positive experience from pick-up to drop-off. This is an active, engaging role that combines your love for animals with meaningful, real-world responsibility. Responsibilities Supervise and engage dogs in a structured daycare setting, ensuring safety at all times Reinforce basic obedience skills (recall, impulse control, appropriate play) Support enrichment activities that promote calm behavior and proper socialization Safely operate company vehicles ("Bark Buses"-large passenger vans) to transport dogs to and from daycare Monitor and document each dog's behavior, health, and daily activities Communicate updates clearly with clients and management Capture photos/videos for client updates Assist with daily operations including feeding, setup, cleaning/sanitizing, and maintaining an organized environment Qualifications Experience with dog handling, dog daycare, dog walking, training, pet sitting, or kennel work is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable driving larger vehicles (passenger vans) Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and energy levels Strong judgment and ability to stay calm in busy situations Physically capable of lifting equipment and assisting with larger dogs as needed Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Willingness to stay active and get hands-on (this is not a desk job!)
